A fresh new look for Buzzer, and more ways to stay safe. We've redesigned the app from top to bottom. Everything works the way it did, it just looks and feels better. • New design throughout: cleaner screens, clearer text and new icons. • A simpler home map: Report and SOS are now floating buttons, always within easy reach. • A bolder SOS screen: a full-screen red countdown you can't miss. • Easier sign-in, with one question per step. • Redesigned community and membership screens, so it's clear what your community offers. • Premium features now show you how to unlock them by joining a community. New in this update: • Hide Me: keep your identity private when you report an alert. You can also choose a pseudonym in My profile. • A simpler report screen: report types are grouped without headings, and your community can hide the ones it doesn't use. • Add dependants by typing their details. You no longer need to give Buzzer access to your contacts, and a surname is optional. • If you tap SOS in an area Buzzer doesn't cover yet, we now point you to 112. • Better background location tracking. Fixes: • Tapping the map now closes address search. • Your community card now shows your current membership. • Fixed crashes when opening an alert from a notification and when loading your feed. Buzzer users nearby who have opted in to help are alerted with your live location. 3. If your community routes alerts to its responders, your SOS goes straight to their control room. 4. Everyone responding gets live updates on the incident. FREE TO USE Buzzer is free to download and use. Some communities charge a membership fee, which they set themselves, to fund their local responders and safety initiatives. Communities can also offer members national armed response and emergency medical cover, delivered by vetted response providers. Estates, suburbs, neighbourhood watches, CPFs, CIDs, schools and universities can set up a community in five minutes, route alerts to their own responders and collect membership fees.
