CHILD Alaska Native Languages has a refreshed, easier-to-navigate design. This update adds Yup’ik and Dena’ina alphabet lessons with pronunciation practice, brings alphabet cards into the Listening and Memory games, improves coloring pages and speaker acknowledgements, and includes accessibility, audio reliability, and performance improvements.
Welcome to the CHILD: Dena’ina, Lake Iliamna Yup'ik and Alutiiq (Sugt’stun) language app. This app was created to facilitate a basic learning of nouns in each of the three languages. The project was a collaboration with the CHILD Grant Partnership (Bristol Bay Borough, Chugach, and Lake & Peninsula School Districts) with funding from the US Department of Education, Office of Indian Affairs.
