Sýn — see the legends come to life! Kringum's new AR feature places Iceland's folklore right in front of you, at the very spots where the stories happened. Visit any of nearly 150 Sýn-marked locations around the country, raise your phone, and meet them face to face: • Trolls and troll women at the cliffs and caves they haunted • Elf women of the huldufólk by their rocky dwellings • The ghosts Móri and Skotta from Iceland's most famous hauntings • Icelandic sheep and horses in full size • Litla-Brekka, the last turf farm in Reykjavík, standing again where it was demolished in 1980 No special glasses needed — just your phone and an AR-capable device. Sýn is included with Explorer Access.
Wherever you go in Iceland, Kringum tells you the stories right around you. Free and GPS-guided, Kringum reveals over 60,000 stories, historic sites, natural wonders and points of interest across the country — with audio narration as you travel. • Discover what happened where you're standing — sagas, folklore, history and culture • Listen to stories read aloud, automatically hands-free on the road • Explore nearby places on a live map, or browse the list around you • Nature, place names, poems, people and events from every corner of Iceland Perfect for road trips, the Ring Road, and anyone curious about the land beneath their feet.
