What's newin version 2.019
Responder 2.019 is our biggest update yet — new tools for every department, plus an all-new mapping experience available as an add-on.
NEW FOR EVERYONE
• NERIS incidents: draw and edit incident areas on the incident map, sort responses by department, and pull-to-refresh.
• Alarms: the alarm map now runs on our new map engine, with pull-to-refresh.
• Photos: rotate a picture before attaching it to an alarm or work order.
• Work orders: attach an image while creating a work order, see a record's work orders on its inventory page, and delete work orders when authorized.
• Inventory: scan multiple barcodes to find an item, then tie the scan to an existing record or add a new one.
• iOS: built-in PDF viewer for incident reports and documents.
• Many fixes and speed improvements throughout.
NEW WITH ADVANCED MAPPING (add-on)
• All-new native map with your department's basemap styles, live units and responders, open incidents with their incident areas, hydrants, map points, properties and map shapes.
• Layers panel to switch basemaps and turn overlays on and off — remembered on your device.
• Tap anything for a summary card, then open the full record with one tap. Add hydrants, properties, map points and shapes right from the map.
• Draw polygons, lines and circles, style them by type, set an expiry, and hide the shapes you don't need.
• Hydrants module: search hydrants, view and edit details, record full inspections including flow tests, manage contacts and status history, and adjust a hydrant's location on the map.
• Properties module: browse properties in a list or on the map; view and edit details, hazmat, contacts, custom fields, images and site plans; open a linked property straight from a NERIS incident.
• Multi-agency systems: see every department's incidents and shapes with the "All agencies" tag and frame them all with one tap.
Advanced Mapping is a new RedNMX add-on for the Responder app. To enable it for your department, reach out to the Alpine Software sales team — we'd be glad to walk you through it.
Some features require your department's server to be updated to the latest version.
