iHalloween 2 is a new app on the record that began in 2008. The Watcher: the front camera notices someone walking up and sets off the scare, on the device, with nothing recorded. A pumpkin whose eyes follow the visitor. Scenes that chain a knock, a door, a whisper and a scream. The Bowl, a timer and a tap as triggers. The ghost says the lines you type. Forty sounds, with the 2008 screams, the cackle and the wolf among them, and four looping ambiences.
Put it on the porch. It sees them coming, and it screams. iHalloween turns an iPhone or an iPad into a haunted porch. An ambience plays through your speaker, a glowing pumpkin watches from the screen, and when somebody walks up it sets off the scare. It is also what it has been since 2008: a board of Halloween sounds you tap. THE WATCHER The front camera notices a person walking up. The pumpkin opens its eyes and follows them across the screen, and when they are close enough it screams. One visitor, one scare, and you set how close. The picture is looked at on the device and thrown away. Nothing is recorded and nothing is sent anywhere. A TIMER, A TAP, AND THE BOWL A dark porch is hard for any camera, so there are other triggers. A timer scares at random moments. A tap makes the whole screen the button, for when you are hiding behind the door. With the Bowl, the device lies among the sweets and a reach into the bowl sets it off, even in complete darkness. SCENES A scene chains a few sounds into one scare: a knock, the creaking door, "come here", the scream. The pumpkin waits through the build-up and screams on the last step. The Door is included. Three more come with Pro, and you can build your own from any sounds and your own lines. THE SHELF Forty sounds to tap: screams, an evil laugh, a witch's cackle, a wolf, an owl, thunder, a creaking door, chains, a music box, an organ, "Happy Halloween", "Trick or treat", and four ambiences that loop without a seam. Shake for a surprise, as in 2008. THE GHOST SAYS THEIR NAMES Type a line, pick the Ghost, the Demon or the Witch, and hear it said: "Hello Emma. I have been waiting." Try it for free. With Pro, keep your lines on the Shelf and let them greet whoever walks up. Your lines and your scenes follow you to your other devices through iCloud. ON THE NIGHT Choose a Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker and an ambience, and arm it. You get ten seconds to walk away. It plays with the silent switch on and keeps the screen awake. Hold the screen to stop, and it tells you how many visitors it scared. FREE, AND PRO Free: the core sounds, two ambiences, the Watcher with its scream, the timer, the tap, and The Door. iHalloween Pro is one purchase, not a subscription, and works with Family Sharing: every sound and ambience, all the scenes and your own, your choice of scares with something quiet when a visitor is first spotted, the Bowl, and the ghost's voice. PRIVACY No data is collected. No account, no ads, no tracking. The camera is used only while the Watcher is on, only on the device. Your lines and scenes sync through your own iCloud, which we cannot see.
