Share your counties: a new image shows how many counties you've visited and across how many states, with your county map for Pro users. Find it in Visited Counties; the app also offers it when you reach a milestone. FIPS codes now appear for your current location and for points you drop on the map. Map Style now lives in Settings, leaving more room on the map. The app also calls itself County Lines everywhere.
What county am I in? Open County Names & Lines and the answer is on screen: your live U.S. county, address, coordinates, speed and county FIPS code, on a clean map. Road signs do not always tell you when you cross a county line. The app does. Driving Mode keeps the screen on, turns the map with you and says "Entering Butler County" at every line, and each county you pass through is added to your visited list automatically. WHO USES IT • Ham radio operators: county hunters and QSO-party mobiles and rovers keep the county on screen, hear each new county announced, and with Pro see how far the next county line is. Copy the county, FIPS code and coordinates into your log. • County collectors and road trippers: every county you drive through is logged, with milestones from your first county to your 100th. Add counties you visited before, then share an image of your count. • Field work and jurisdiction checks: the county and FIPS code for where you are standing, or for any U.S. address. • Anyone who just needs a fast answer to "what county is this?"
