Features and color gradients
Record what a family is shaped by over generations: country of origin, language(s), religion, education level, migration generation, family role, and resources — or their own characteristics as an option, multiple selection, text, number, or yes/no. With "Color by" you color the genogram according to a feature, and a legend shows the distribution. In multiple selection, highlight an expression, and numbers appear in steps from light to dark — optionally with your own boundaries such as "0 · 1–2 · 3–5 · from 6". Colors and the legend also appear in PDF, PNG, SVG, and in the report; anonymized copies remove the feature values.
Color level family branch
With the designated focus person, the genogram colors itself according to the core family, paternal and maternal sides and the family of the partners*—without you having to take anything in.
Template assistant expanded
The assistant now also recognizes characteristics that are passed down across three generations, and changes between parents and children, such as in religion, origin, or language. Regarding educational status, it distinguishes between upward and downward mobility. Generations are referred to relative to the focus person: “between grandparents and parents” instead of generational numbers. If a child is only connected to one parent, their partner*in counts — as in the Canvas, with a note in the result.
iCloud status in view
The app clearly indicates when your genograms are not synchronized with iCloud: when there is no iCloud account, full iCloud storage, or ongoing sync errors. In the settings, you can see when the last sync was performed. If the app can only temporarily keep data in memory for work purposes, it will immediately offer an export option.
Accessibility
All symbols are labeled for VoiceOver, the Inspector is easier to read in large font and high contrast, and the labeling size in the Canvas can be adjusted in the settings — from "Small" to "Very large".
as well
The year numbers in the timeline appear again without the thousand mark ("1962" instead of "1,962"). Missing translations have been added.
