Average rating on the App Store. Apple doesn't publish how many ratings each star has.
This app isn't in any of our charts yet.
This version reworks the app in depth, following an audit of 1.2. Bulletins • Age of each METAR, validity of each TAF and update time shown; old or expired bulletins flagged, with the end of validity. • Refresh when you return to the app, by pulling the list and at most every 10 minutes. An error on one product no longer blocks the other. • Nearby airport: fallback to the nearest airport that publishes the bulletin, with name, distance and age; menu to pick another one. • Offline: the last briefing received stays readable without network, in grey with its time, then is replaced as soon as the network is back. Reading • Reading help: tap a METAR or TAF group to see its components and their definition, without interpretation. Option in Preferences. • Lexicon reviewed and extended, examples separated from definitions. • Full-screen mode to read the route in flight: each airport is a block that opens and closes with a tap. • System, light or dark appearance. Route and folders • The route is entered one code at a time; each airport becomes a chip you remove or move. • Search by name, city, ICAO or IATA code, ignoring accents. • Flight folders shared between your devices through iCloud, keeping existing folders. Folder name shown in the header, update a folder with the current route, last route restored at launch. Ephemeris and runways • Times in UTC and in the airport's local time, day or night marker correct everywhere, including on daylight-saving days. • Closed runways and displaced thresholds flagged. Miscellaneous • The language follows the device on first launch. • Larger airport database (21,800 airports) and faster launch.
METAR•TAF Flow shows the METAR and TAF of the airports on your route, as NOAA publishes them, with the age of each bulletin. You type ICAO codes or search for an airport by name. Each airport becomes a card: flight category, METAR, TAF, ephemeris and runways. A route can be saved as a flight folder, shared between your devices through iCloud. WHAT THE APP DOES • Up-to-date bulletins: NOAA Aviation Weather Center as the source. Age of each METAR, validity of each TAF and update time; old or expired bulletins flagged. Refresh when you return to the app and at most every 10 minutes. • Nearby airport: without a recent METAR or valid TAF, the bulletin of the nearest airport that publishes one, with its name and distance. A menu offers the other nearby airports. • Route: entered one code at a time, each airport becomes a chip you remove or move. Search by name, city, ICAO or IATA code. • Flight folders: save a route, reload it, update it. Shared between your devices through iCloud. • Ephemeris: sunrise, sunset and civil twilight (SERA definition) for each airport, in UTC and in the airport's local time. • Reading help: tap a METAR or TAF group (BKN015, +SHRA, 31016G25KT) to see its components and their definition, without interpretation. Bilingual lexicon of abbreviations. • Full-screen mode: to read the route in flight, without entry; each airport is a block that opens and closes with a tap. • Offline: the last briefing received stays readable without network, in grey with its time, and reloads as soon as the network is back. • Runways: lengths, displaced thresholds and closed runways (OurAirports, unofficial data). • System, light or dark appearance. French and English. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO • It does not interpret the weather and does not prepare the flight for you. • It only covers airports that publish bulletins (about 7,700 METAR stations and 3,800 TAF stations). • It does not replace official documents or the analysis of regulatory weather charts. The decision belongs to the pilot in command. No account, no advertising, no data collection, no location. The app is free; an optional tip supports its development.
