The builder is the same on the phone and the web, so a design made in one shows up in the other. - Surface winds from ground weather stations. Real stations on the map, not a model. Tap one for the last half hour of wind, pick whether the needle reads to or from, set the radius you care about, and fly to a station from the intro card. Credit to the Ambient Weather Network. - Landmarks. Drop a landmark on pre-flight or in the air, choose its icon, and share it with the teams you pick — arrival banner included. They appear instantly on every device. - Flying with friends. See every teammate who is flying, choose which of them pings you (all at once if you like), and watch their track, targets and scoring rings on your own map. Teammate vertical speed is measured against an anchor now, so it reads true. - Live reactions. Anyone watching your flight can send a reaction and it floats up the map. IMPROVED - Big zone files pan and zoom smoothly, on the pilot's map and the crew's — the geometry now crosses to the map once instead of being rebuilt on every GPS fix. - Crew stay on the pilot's map when their app is backgrounded, a parked chase vehicle stays put instead of vanishing, and the crew heartbeat is every 5 seconds. - Chase several balloons at once: the 2D frame breathes to keep them all in view, and 3D orbits the group. - Target rings stop blinking, markers resize themselves, and the map no longer tilts into 3D because two fingers brushed it. - Time to Target is smoothed over your choice of 5s, 30s, 1 min or 5 min, and uses the drift that actually closes on the target. - An advisory explains why the HUD altitude and a Balloon Live Sensor can disagree, instead of leaving you to guess. - On a phone, the task drawer is a tab on the target card rather than something that covers it. - Zone alerts say "Clear of 500ft floor" when you are legal, and look it.
