Every concert and comedy show in Greater Boston and Denver, in one app. foobos lists thousands of upcoming shows at hundreds of venues in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Denver, Boulder and beyond, from arena tours to a Monday night jazz trio in a room that holds sixty people. It updates every day, and you don't need an account. BOSTON OR DENVER Choose your city when you open the app, and change it any time in Profile. Home, guides, collections and search all follow the city you pick. START ON HOME Home is one screen of tiles: For You, every show, today's daily guide, hand-picked guides, your lists, your saved shows and collections like Date Night, Local Scene, Jazz Picks and Top Comedy. Tap a tile and you're looking at its shows. EVERY SHOW ON THE MAP The Finder puts every show on a map of your city. Tap a neighborhood to see what's playing there, and swipe the cards to move from show to show. Narrow it down with Where, When and What, or search for an artist or a venue. Prefer a list? Switch to big photo cards, a list, or a grid that zooms out to the whole month. Filter to free shows, day shows or the shows your friends are going to. PLAN A WHOLE DAY A daily guide is one person's plan for the day: a place to eat, a show, a drink after, each with a note on why it's worth it. Open one on the map and follow it one stop at a time, with the walk, ride or drive between stops. Directions open straight in Apple Maps. Borrow someone's plan, or sign in and write your own for any open day. Hand-picked show guides live on Home too, and each one tells you what's new since your last look. ALL YOU NEED TO GO Every show has its own page: photo, lineup, date, venue, the nearest T stop and Get Tickets. Tap Preview to hear the band first, or open the artist in Spotify or Apple Music. See what the act has been playing lately, kept covered until you tap Reveal so nothing gets spoiled. When a show is listed on CashorTrade, you can find face-value tickets there too. PICKS FOR YOUR TASTE Pick a few kinds of nights out, then say yes or no to some real upcoming shows. For You fills with shows that match, and tells you when there are new ones. Not for you? Give a pick a thumbs-down, say why, and foobos learns from it. LISTS YOU BUILD Type what you want, like "jazz on Fridays in the city," and foobos builds the list. Or tap the parts of one sentence to pick what, where and when. Give each list its own picture and color. Your lists live on Home and flag new shows as they're added. GO WITH FRIENDS Add friends, see what they're saving, and see who's going to each show. Invite a friend right from a show's page. Every show has its own foochat room, with replies, reactions and @mentions, so you can make a plan or argue about the opener. NEVER MISS A SHOW Follow any artist by name, even one who has never played a foobos show, and get a push when they announce a Boston date. Bring in names from your Apple Music library, Last.fm or the shows you've seen. Reminders arrive before the show, not after. YOUR YEAR IN SHOWS After the show, check in. Stats keeps your year in shows: a stamp for each venue, your most-seen act, top venue and favorite night, and a heatmap of every show. Add a note or a photo to any show you went to, and see what was played that night. Choose which stats your profile shows. BUILT FOR iPHONE foobos is a native iPhone app, not a website in a wrapper. It has Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Siri Shortcuts, Spotlight search, dark mode and a foobos sticker pack for iMessage. You can even put the foobos guy in your room in AR.
