Every place has a story. Côté tells it. Open the map wherever you are and see the heritage around you: a chapel, a mill, a castle, a factory, sometimes something that is no longer there. Tap a place and read its story, written for your age group. Côté is an educational heritage and culture app. HERITAGE AROUND YOU • Interactive map of culture points: history, anecdotes, monuments, war memorials and lost places • The map shows what stands around you right now, on a trip too • Every story comes in four versions, written for different readers, from young readers to seniors • Built-in heritage dictionary: difficult words are explained on the spot • Save the places you want to visit with the heart button • World wonders such as volcanoes appear on the map too, each with its own story LANGUAGES AND COVERAGE • The app works in many languages, including English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Polish, Turkish, Arabic and Ukrainian. You choose the language in the settings. • The stories at the culture points are written in Dutch. In Brussels and in the historic centre of Bruges you can also read them in English and several other languages. The world wonders on the map are available in English as well. • Everywhere else the story itself is shown in Dutch, even when the rest of the app is in your language. • Coverage is strongest in the Benelux, with culture points in other European countries too. DIALECT, GAMES AND MORE • Learn the West-Flemish dialect with interactive lessons built on everyday scenes, with audio from native speakers and your own language as the starting point • Word games drawn from the dialect vocabulary pool: Hangman, Wordle, Filippine, Word Search, Snake and Croco, with leaderboards for Snake and Croco • Dark Factory: AI School, 21 themes, with content adapted to the reader's age group. Free to use, unlimited with Premium EVENTS NEARBY • In the Benelux you can view local events from the map, or announce one yourself • No replies, RSVP, friend system or private messaging: the app is not a social network PREMIUM AND DAY PASS • Culture points up to 11 km around you instead of 3 km, with all four versions of every story and no daily reading limit • Read stories offline • Make a route along culture points and open it in your maps app • Zoom out to a globe with culture points from all over the world • My places (subscription): choose four places (Benelux or larger cities) and read their stories from home • Unlimited dialect lessons and unlimited Dark Factory access • Monthly, yearly or lifetime subscription, or a 24-hour day pass for the culture-point features; the day pass does not renew • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
