Version 1.0 • Recurring maintenance schedule with overdue, due-soon, and on-track color coding • Swipe-to-mark-done resets the interval clock and records the completion date • Add custom tasks with any name, interval length, and last-done date • 15-task reference library covering hull, engine, safety, and deck jobs with tools lists • Multiple boat profiles — name, length, hull material, and home marina • Fully offline — no account, no ads, all data stored on device
Your hull does not care that you forgot. Barnacle keeps every scrub, anode swap and anti-fouling coat on a schedule you can actually see, so the next haul-out is a plan instead of a surprise. Most boat apps are built around the marina, the weather or the broker. Barnacle is built around one thing: the recurring jobs that keep a hull sound. Open it and the Plan tab shows every task color-coded by status, red when overdue, orange when due within a week, green when you are on track. Tap a task done and the next due date recalculates on the spot. WHAT YOU GET • Know at a glance which jobs are overdue, due soon or on track, before you drive to the dock • Mark a task done with one swipe and get the next due date instantly, no math and no calendar juggling • Start from five preloaded hull tasks, from waterline polish to annual anti-fouling, and add your own with any interval • Walk down to the boat with the right gear, thanks to a 15-task reference library that lists the tools each job needs • Keep more than one vessel straight, with a profile for each boat covering length, hull material and home marina • Trust the dates you see, because everything lives on your device and stays there PERFECT FOR • Owners who scrub their own hull and keep losing track of when they last did it • Sailors managing zincs, sea cocks, bilge and engine service across a full season • Families or partners sharing one boat who need a single source of truth for what was done • Anyone with a second boat, a tender or a friend's vessel they look after WHY NOT JUST A NOTES APP A note tells you when you did something. Barnacle tells you when it is due next, ranks every job by urgency and never lets an interval slip because nobody did the arithmetic. It also ships the reference library a notes app will never have, with recommended intervals and tool lists for the jobs that matter. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No sign-in. No network calls. No third-party SDKs. Your boats, tasks and history are stored only on this iPhone. FULL ACCESS Barnacle is unlocked with a subscription or a one-time purchase. Choose weekly, yearly, or a lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your App Store account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Add your boat, mark today's job done and see your whole season line up.
