A full audit of the question bank, and a more faithful exam. THE MOCK EXAM NOW MATCHES THE REAL ONE • Exactly 110 questions in every discipline. The mock used to run a different length depending on which exam you picked — as many as 130 for Civil and as few as 89 for Electrical. • The real 5 hour 20 minute clock, and it now reads as hours and minutes instead of counting up past 300 minutes. • Questions are apportioned across knowledge areas in the same proportions as the real exam. EVERY QUESTION CHECKED • We re-derived every formula in all seven disciplines against the FE Reference Handbook and recomputed every answer independently. • Fixed questions where a printed value was rounded so far that the problem no longer matched its own answer — a friction factor shown as 0.03 when 0.025 was used, a roughness and slope that both displayed as the same number, a transmitter reading truncated by integer division. • Fixed questions that had two correct choices, including a surveying bearing where two options both meant due south. • Removed answer choices that were duplicates of the correct answer, were physically impossible, or sat so close to the right answer that sensible rounding could not tell them apart. • Corrected several worked solutions whose arithmetic did not match their own result. BETTER ANSWER CHECKING • Typed numeric answers are now graded on a relative tolerance, so a correctly rounded answer is accepted and a genuinely different number still is not. • Every multiple-choice question is guaranteed four distinct options. ALSO FIXED • Engineering-economics questions displayed as unreadable run-together text because the dollar sign in an amount was being treated as a formula delimiter. • Dollar amounts show a leading minus correctly, and a cost variance of exactly zero no longer stalls question generation.
