What's new in 1.0.3 • Halal scanner, reworked: scan a barcode or photograph the ingredient list, including Arabic labels and ingredient names in many languages. Rulings follow Sayed Sistani's published texts and, where marked, Al-Maaref's halal guide, each with its source: Halal, Makruh (discouraged, not forbidden), or "Conditions apply" with Sayed Sistani's own words when the ruling depends on the facts, as with gelatin. • With your permission, the label's text (never the photo) can be read with the help of AI to separate the ingredients from other packaging text. The AI never makes rulings; if you decline, you read the label on your phone alone. • Product missing? Photograph its ingredients and, if you agree, add it to Open Food Facts so the next person who scans it gets a result, or send it to ShiaNur with photos for review. A short guide shows how. • A Health & Nutrition summary beside the halal verdict. • Prayer times calculated automatically for your location, with improved city search and local time-zone handling.
