What's new in 1.2 • Tutorials: short guides on the real screens that light up each button and tell you what it does. Find them in Me → Tutorials. • December planner: work out your 13th month, split it into ipon, utang, regalo, handaan and gala, and keep a gift list you can tick off. Find it in Me or on the Ipon tab. • Clearer words: bills say "Mark paid" and utang says "Log payment", since Kaya records what you paid and never sends money. "Linked wallets" is now "My wallets". • Easier to read: small grey text and coloured labels have more contrast, in light and dark mode, and screens fit larger text on small phones. • Home's daily spending chart: each day fills a cup as big as your daily budget, and only what spills over turns amber. • Delete from Transactions: swipe left on one, or hold to select several. Kaya always asks first. • Insights shows your budgets right after the month's spending, so a category that's over is easy to spot. Empty cards now have Barya drawings. • Uses less battery: nothing animates in the background anymore. • Signed in with Google? Your Google photo is your profile picture until you pick your own. • Works with VoiceOver: every button is named, and PIN entry, charts and messages are read out. • 6-digit PIN: pick a longer PIN for the app lock when you sign up or in Me → Change PIN. • Your data on this phone is now encrypted, and logging out removes it from the phone. • Forgot PIN now asks for your phone's Face ID or passcode first. • Reminders no longer show peso amounts on the lock screen. Turn on "Amounts in reminders" in Me if you want them. • After too many wrong PINs, the lock screen now tells you how long to wait. • The PIN lock now also covers anything that was open when the app locked, like an open transaction. • Face ID and fingerprint unlock no longer accept your phone's passcode instead. If the scan fails, use your Kaya PIN. • Backups now handle big accounts, and Home shows "Not backed up" if a backup ever fails. • Fixed: a new wallet could show the history of a wallet you removed, and editing a wallet warned about its name even when you didn't change it. • New accounts need a password of at least 8 characters. • What's new: see what changed in each version in Me → What's new, and get a notice when a newer Kaya is out.
