What's newin version 1.1.0
Capi now lives in iMessage. Start a game right from your group chat: the invite is a bubble, and games there go turn by turn. After your move the drawer gets small and a new bubble, ready to send, tells the other side it is their turn. Tap "Back to the table" or the latest bubble to watch the other side play live. 1v1, or 2v2 with your partner. Also new, the Capi shop: • Three premium tables: Quisqueya, Larimar and Capi Noche • Three tile designs with flag backs: Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Jamaica • All of Capi unlocks everything, and Remove Ads keeps the table clean • Every design shows a preview before you buy A small banner may appear on the home screen and while you wait for players. Never during play, that is sacred. Also in this update: • Turns no longer freeze: if a move gets lost on a weak connection, the table catches up by itself within seconds • If the other side goes quiet for two minutes, you can claim the game instead of waiting forever (not in iMessage games, which go turn by turn) • "How to play" in the app has every rule • Capicúa: any last tile that fits both open ends counts, the 2-2 on ends 2 and 2 too • Patio rules, the way the table plays: the tranque counts the one who locked it against the player on his right, the pase de salida pays 25 in 2v2, and a pase corrido never wins the game on its own • New quick chat phrases: "Your turn!", "You there?", "Hurry up!" and "Nice hand!" • "Report a problem" now says it goes to the Capi team, not to your opponent
About this app
This is the dominoes you grew up with. Capi is real Dominican dominoes, online, with your own people. Capicúa, tranque, paso and parejas, played the way the table really plays it, not another generic block-dominoes app. Capi is multiplayer you play WITH your people: create a table, send the 6-letter invite code, and real friends fill the seats. Every seat is a real person (there are no computer opponents), so bring your crew. Anyone without the app can join from the browser at playcapi.com. THE REAL RULES • Capicúa: go out with a ficha that fits both open ends and take a +25 bonus • Tranque: when your tile locks the table, you count your pips against the player on your right, and whoever holds fewer wins the round and takes every pip left in the hands • Pase corrido (2v2): when the other three all pass after your tile, your side gets 25 on the spot, as long as that leaves your side below the target • Pase de salida (2v2): when the player after the opener cannot play on the first tile, the opener's side gets 25 once the opener's partner plays, with the same target rule • Dominó: go out first and your side takes every pip left in the hands WITH YOUR PEOPLE • 1v1, or 2v2 en parejas with your partner across the table • Create a game and share a 6-letter invite code; friends join in seconds • No account and no sign-up: pick a name, pick a color, play • Cross-play with the web: app and browser players sit at the same table • Play inside iMessage on iPhone: start a game from your group chat, and each turn arrives as a bubble A TABLE WITH SABOR • Three tables: Barbería, Colmado and Patio, each with its own Dominican watermark • Tile slam sounds and haptics, with a mute the whole table will thank you for • Quick chat with Dominican phrases and emotes, predefined only, so it stays family-friendly FAIR AND SQUARE • Every move is checked on the server against the real rules • No account required, and gameplay is never linked to your identity • Fully bilingual Spanish and English with an authentic Dominican voice Whether you call it dominó, bones or Sunday at your tía's, Capi brings the table to wherever your people are. Free. Download Capi and tell your people to pull up.
