Shukraya: Vedic Astrology

Shukraya's goal is to make Vedic astrology approachable. We built Shukraya as a neo-Vedic astrology utility: it calculates your chart and shows the rules behind it, in plain language, with notes for Western astrologers that bring the two traditions together. NEW: COMPATIBILITY, IN THE ADVANCED TAB Compare any two saved profiles: classical Vedic tables first written for marriage, modern Vedic connections and Western synastry, side by side. • Ashtakoota, the 36-point eight-factor table, counted from the Moon and from the lagna • The classical checks, from Nadi dosha to Stri Dirgha • Mars (Mangal dosha) in each chart • The Vedic connections in the birth chart (D1) and the navamsa (D9) • Western synastry, with orbs you set • Birth-time sensitivity A score never defines a relationship. NEW: MADE FOR IPAD • Two charts side by side in landscape • Layouts made for the larger screen YOUR CHART, WITH THE RULE BEHIND IT • Jyotish at the core, with the Western tradition beside it • North Indian, South Indian, East Indian and Western chart styles • The North Indian chart turns so the Moon's sign, or any sign, sits at the top • Nakshatra and pada for every planet and the ascendant • Positions computed at full precision rather than rounded to fit a row • Each yoga card states the classical rule and the placements that satisfy it • Planetary roles for the rising sign, with the rule that decides each one TRY IT FIRST Open the Sample Chart, a complete chart with every calculation on it, with no account and nothing to enter.
