THE FEAR METER Start the Fear Meter from Home or from a film's or a TV show's page, on your shelf, streaming or in the theaters. Your heart rate becomes a fear level from 0 to 100 at the end: Calm, Uneasy, Tense, Scared or Terrified, with your peak and its minute, the curve across the film, and a card to share. Measured against your own sitting rate, never a number from somewhere else; your readings never leave your iPhone. A Fear Report each month, a Year in Fear, a Fear Meter section in Stats, and six badges. Part of Keptcase Pro. NORTH POLE, A SHELF LOOK FOR CHRISTMAS A winter moon and stars over a midnight-blue wall, Santa's sleigh and all nine reindeer crossing it with Rudolph's nose aglow, snow drifting down, snow-capped pine planks strung with twinkling Christmas lights, a decorated tree and a waving snowman on the search bar, and the Tonight's Pick card knitted like a Christmas sweater. The first look that moves; the Motion switch on the Shelf Theme page, or Reduce Motion, keeps it still. Settings > Preferences > Shelf Theme. Part of Keptcase Pro. KEPTCASE ON YOUR APPLE WATCH, OR ANY HEALTH SENSOR Install Keptcase from the Watch app on your iPhone: your Watch reads every few seconds, with Start, Pause and Finish on your wrist and the night on your Lock Screen. Without it, any Apple Watch works through Health, and so does a ring, band, strap or earbuds whose app writes heart rate to Health. Every night rides your cloud backup whole, the curve included. PAUSE THE FEAR METER Getting up for a moment? Tap Pause on Home's Fear Meter card or on your Watch, and Resume when you are back; the readings in between never count. HALF STARS, AND A REVIEW AFTER THE FILM Tap the left half of a star for a half star, the right half for a whole one, or drag across the row; every rating in the app works this way now. After the Fear Meter logs a watch, write a review under the stars and it goes on the diary entry. COLLECTORS' FEAR METER Share a film's level with other collectors if you like; off until you turn it on, and only the level and its word leave your phone. A film's page shows the collectors' level and the spread across the five words once ten have shared, with your own marker, and cinema and at-home figures apart once each side has ten. Stats lists the scariest films among collectors. YOUR RECORDINGS Every Fear Meter night on one page, grouped by month or ranked scariest first, with a search over the titles. Under Measured Before on the Fear Meter page, in the Stats card, and in Settings. PASTE A COLLECTION INSTEAD OF A FILE Some sites print their export on the page instead of handing you a file. Copy the rows and use Paste Collection CSV under Import, Export & Delete Shelves: the pasted text goes the same way a file does, one shelf at a time. ALSO A shared cover tells you what happened to it. Cancel This Order asks whether the title stays on your wishlist. A cover photo asks whether it shows the cover, the dust jacket or a slipcase, or the sleeve, an obi or a box set. FIXED A film you own in two editions, or a disc inside a box set, could stay under Unwatched after you logged a watch; the Unwatched and Watched chips now count a watch on any copy or any disc. The Collection Value page could open on £0.00 when a few titles were priced in another currency, and its Gain went blank when any were; it now adds up in the money most of your titles carry and sets the valued titles against what you paid for them. Opening the expected date of an order whose date had passed closed the app; the calendar now opens on that day. The app could stop responding the first time a day the collectors' ratings loaded, and Home could close the app on some iPhones while the Fear Meter's doors were set up. THE INSURANCE REPORT READS WHOLE Long titles, editions, barcodes and conditions used to be cut off, and the summary could run off the page. Every column now wraps and the summary fits the page.
Keptcase is for people who still buy the disc, the record, the hardback and the cartridge and want it all catalogued properly, valued honestly and beautiful to scroll. Point your camera at a barcode and the item lands on your shelf with its cover, year, cast and studio filled in. Batch mode keeps the scanner open for a haul. THE FEAR METER Press Start before a horror film and your Apple Watch counts your heart. At the credits Keptcase scores the night against your own resting rate: a fear level from 0 to 100, Calm to Terrified, with your peak and its minute, the curve across the film, and a card to share. Your readings never leave your iPhone. ON YOUR APPLE WATCH Install Keptcase from the Watch app on your iPhone and start the Fear Meter from your wrist: your unwatched horror shelf on the face, Start, Pause and Finish at a tap, the night on your Lock Screen. Any Apple Watch works through Health without it, and so does a ring, band or strap whose app writes heart rate to Health. FOUR SHELVES, ONE APP Movies and TV, music, books and comics, and games each get their own shelf with the details that matter to it: directors and studios, artists and labels, authors and publishers, platforms and regions. One subscription covers them all. KNOW WHAT IT'S WORTH Live market values on every shelf, with no setup. See what you paid, what it's worth now, and the gain, then export a dated PDF inventory for insurance. EVERY EDITION, COUNTED SEPARATELY Own a film on VHS, DVD and 4K? Keptcase folds them into one card while keeping each copy's own condition, value and history. Box sets hold their contents. Filter by boutique label or studio. THE WHOLE RUN, AND THE GAPS Series cards lay out a run in order: the numbers you own, the ones on your wishlist, the gaps named. A show's page counts its seasons and how far you've watched. IN THE SHOP, WONDERING IF YOU OWN IT? Scan any barcode, type the title, or photograph the shelf, and yours answers on the spot: on your shelf, owned but not this release, or not on your shelf, with what it goes for online. COMICS, ON THEIR OWN RACK Single issues, trades, omnibuses and graded slabs, with publisher and writer, counted and valued apart from your books. GO DEEPER ON EVERY TITLE Trailers, full cast and More Like This for films; seasons and episodes for TV; platform details for games; tracklists for albums; blurbs for books. Search by actor. NEVER BUY A DUPLICATE AGAIN Keep a wishlist, publish a read-only web page of your shelf and send the link before a birthday. Follow other collectors' shelves. A DIARY FOR WHAT YOU ACTUALLY WATCH Log every watch, listen, read and play with a rating and a note. A monthly recap, a year-in-review card, stats by decade, genre and format, and collector badges. CAN'T DECIDE? ASK THE SHELF Tonight's Pick draws from what you own, by mood and genre. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, ask your shelf in plain language and it answers from your own collection, entirely on device. BRING YOUR COLLECTION WITH YOU Import a CSV from whatever you use now, or a Letterboxd export. Re-importing is safe. Optional cloud backup restores your shelf, and every Fear Meter night, onto a new phone. YOUR DATA IS YOURS Your collection lives on your iPhone. Cloud backup is optional and off until you turn it on; signing in is Sign in with Apple. No tracking, no ads, nothing sold, ever.
