Book by the quarter hour, not the half. The rooms now go by the names members already use — the William Few Room, the Daniel Appling Terrace, the wine lounge and the bar — and you can reserve the bar or the lounge, not only a table in the dining room. Events: choose the evening you actually mean, and only the ones still to come. Change a booking and the invitations you sent move with it. Also fixed: an evening at six no longer shows as two, a room name is no longer cut in half on smaller screens, and when something goes wrong the club now says so in its own words.
The 1790 Club is a private dining and social club in Evans, Georgia. This app is for its members. It is not somewhere to discover a restaurant. It is the club itself, carried in a pocket — your table, your evening, your corner of the bar. YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD Your name, your member number, and the photograph you choose. The first thing you see, and the thing the front desk knows you by. BOOK A TABLE The club's real book and the club's real hours. Choose the evening and the hour, say who is coming, and the club has it before you arrive. TONIGHT AT THE CLUB Who else has said they are coming this evening — by their own choice, never automatically. Some evenings that is the reason to come. MEET ME AT THE BAR An invitation to another member: a time, a place at the bar, and a line of your own if you want one. They accept, and the club knows to expect you both. YOUR USUAL Build the drink you actually want — the spirit, the mixer, the method, the garnish — and give it a name. Keep up to four, and the bar can pour one before you ask. EVENTS AND MENUS The evenings the club has planned, with a place reserved in a tap. The dining menu, the bar list and the week's specials, as current as the kitchen. The 1790 Club app is for members of The 1790 Club. Membership is by invitation, and the app cannot be used without it. Questions: the club office, (706) 971-1790.
