You go out to dinner, drinks, or an event with friends. You pay. Then, you spend either the next 10 minutes meticulously calculating what each person owes or what everyone owes, or worse, put it off until you forget. Open Receipt was designed with one goal in mind: create a dead-simple receipt-splitting app with no subscriptions. That's it. Anyone should be able to accurately scan, split, and settle a receipt in under 3 minutes. And it shouldn't require $5 per month to do so. I tried a lot of receipt-splitting apps looking for the right one. I kept running into expensive subscriptions or poor receipt scanning, so I built Open Receipt. Receipts are read with Apple's Private Cloud Compute, so your data stays private. And as the name suggests, Open Receipt is open source.
