What's newin version 1.17.0
・A page for every day: open Notes under Profile. The day's walk, Spots, stickers, area badges and thoughts are already pasted on. Move them around, write in handwriting or round letters, add washi tape and hand-drawn doodles, and share the page as an image or a short video. Pick from five page sizes, including 3:4 and 16:9, and make as many pages a day as you like. A share card can come along too, with Decorate in your note. It works on days you don't walk, too.
・Leave a thought as you walk: while recording, tap Thought on your map and write a few words. They stay where you were. Tap a trail on your map to see that walk's thoughts and photos; they also pop up as speech bubbles when the walk replays and in your notes.
・Now in Chinese, German, French, Spanish and Italian: PlainWalk follows your iPhone's language. Traditional and Simplified Chinese, German, French, Spanish and Italian join Japanese, Korean and English, in the app, the widgets and on Apple Watch.
・Plus as a one-time purchase: plus can now be bought once, with no subscription. On the Plus page, slide the plans to the left to find Lifetime. Already subscribed? Switch to Lifetime is at the bottom of Profile. After switching, cancel your subscription in App Store settings.
・Doodle on the roads: open the real map, tap Doodle and trace the streets with one finger to draw a picture. It is kept under Profile › Collection › Doodles. Pick one on a walking day and its dotted outline guides you on your map until you have walked it.
・Hold to the light: in Make a video, turn on Hold to the light. At the end of the clip the real streets rise through the paper. Post a walk and let people guess where it is.
・Plant several flags and choose the order (Plus): on the real map, tap Set a destination and keep planting: the map stays open until you tap Done. Tap a flag on your map to choose the order you visit them in. When you reach one, the guide moves on to the next number.
・Send a flag to a friend: tap a flag or a Someday place on your map and choose Share. Send the link with “Meet me here”: your friend gets the same flag, and you each find your own way to it. Without PlainWalk, the link opens a page with the place on a map.
・Share stickers with their finish (Plus): share a sticker and it goes out in its finish: hologram, foil, transparent or paper, on a transparent background you can paste into messages.
・Cleaner stickers, and draw a loop to pick anything: stickers are cut with finer edges. If the subject it finds is not the one you want, or several things end up as one, draw a loop around what you want on the photo and that alone becomes a sticker.
・Map outlines (Plus): turn on Show map outlines in Layers to lay faint city borders and the coastline under your trails. You can tell which area you are in and where the land ends, with no roads or names added.
・Badges for China mainland, Hong Kong and Macao: area badges now cover China mainland district by district, Hong Kong's 18 districts and Macao. Walks you have already taken there count too.
・Walks in faraway cities on a shared map: when someone on your shared map walks in a city far from where you are looking, a small triangle at the edge of the screen points the way with the distance. Tap it to go there, and tap again to come back. In Map settings, tap a person to jump to where they walk. The real map now opens on the part of the paper you are looking at.
