One shared step on every phone. A new table now walks everyone through the same step at the same time: join, the receipt, tap what you had, the tip (picked with the whole table watching), who paid (two or more people split it evenly), pay. Nobody has to explain the app. Zelle, step by step. Paying with Zelle now shows your amount and the host's number big, three short steps, and a button for your bank. Sharing a dish with your +1. When you're paying for someone else and tap a dish others had, you now choose right there whether it's both of you or just you, with the shares shown. Apple Cash, without the pre-typed text. Tapping Apple Cash now opens your Messages thread with the host empty, and our screen shows the amount and the three taps.
Dinner was great. The last ten minutes don't have to ruin it. SwipeSplit turns one photo of the receipt into a shared table. Scan the receipt, share the QR code or link, and everyone opens it on their own phone and claims the items they had from a list. Shared plates split between whoever claims them. Tax, tip, fees, and discounts are spread fairly and add up to the printed total, to the cent. When everyone has claimed, the host finalizes the table and each person sees exactly what they owe, with a pay-back button that opens Venmo or Cash App with the amount filled in. Guests don't need an account. No money moves through SwipeSplit. Good to know: receipt photos are read by an AI model to pull out the items, kept for 30 days so we can fix bad scans, then deleted. Tables expire after 24 hours.
