Two new companions join Yudao, alongside improvements to everyday entries and budgeting based on your feedback. • New companions: meet Lili the red panda and Maimai the Shiba. Choose from 6 companions: the cat is free, and the other 5 are included in existing Premium access. • Companion artwork: both newcomers have day and night illustrations, home and wish scenes, 10 widget layouts, Apple Watch screens, complications and App icons. • Budget periods: clearer previews of the period and start date, with changes taking effect today or tomorrow. Weekly and monthly settings are saved separately for easier switching. • Category budgets: edit amounts and percentages directly and see how your budget is allocated. Review targets now follow the selected budget plan. • Quick entries: pick frequent categories directly; use a floating panel for all categories and category management. Notes, income entries and dismissing the keyboard are easier to find. • Categories: reorder or hide categories, with clearer explanations of future budget allocation and the original category retained on past entries. • Earmarked funds: reserve part of this or next period’s budget for a purpose. Link expenses and view spending, pending payments, available funds and the fund’s transaction history. • Fixed expenses: edit the name, amount and category of future rules and link eligible earmarked funds, while keeping past records. • Home, review and wishes: choose spent or available as the main home figure and sync it to Apple Watch. Improved fund reviews, wish navigation, and explanations of saving and withdrawing. • Appearance and currency: new companion icons and an option to restore the default icon. Currency changes require confirmation; existing amounts are not automatically converted using exchange rates. • Layout and languages: improved small-screen, large-text and right-to-left layouts, updated translations for new features, and fixes including a Settings crash. • Size and data protection: a smaller app without reducing illustration dimensions, with stronger checks for upgrading older ledgers, backup and restore, and reading and saving large ledgers. Existing lifetime access and active subscriptions continue to apply. These Premium additions do not require another purchase.
How much can you spend today? Yudao gives your daily budget a little home, with hand-drawn companions and a gentler way to keep track. Introducing 10 Home Screen widgets featuring your chosen animal companion. Quick Entry and Add Entry widgets are free; widgets that display your data are included with Premium. See your daily allowance Set a weekly or monthly budget and choose a start date, such as payday. Yudao divides your budget across the days in that period and shows what is left to spend today. Each expense becomes a small illustrated object in your jar. Tap an object to view its details. Keep everyday records Log expenses and income with a category, date, note, and feeling. Edit, delete, duplicate, search, or filter entries. Recurring expenses, such as rent and subscriptions, are added the next time you open the app after they become due. Look back at your days Browse daily budget surpluses in the calendar. Weekly, monthly, and yearly views bring together income, expenses, categories, and budget trends. Completed budget days count toward your history; today remains in progress. Make room for a wish Keep a wish list, choose one current wish, or track general savings. Record money you have set aside or taken out in the Savings jar, and see your goal progress. You can also confirm a savings entry based on a suggested share of the current or previous period's net budget surplus. Your companion celebrates when you reach a goal. Remember what you chose to skip Log a skipped purchase separately. It is a record of a choice and does not add to your budget surplus or Savings jar balance. The cat, expense tracking, budgets, savings goals and charts are free. Premium adds five companions—the dog, hamster, bunny, red panda and Shiba—their expense objects and optional iCloud sync. Your records start on your device No registration, bank connection, ads, or analytics tracking. Export a full JSON backup to restore your ledger, or a CSV for reading and analysis. iCloud sync requires Premium and must be enabled by you using your own Apple Account. Sync does not replace a separate backup. About your numbers Yudao records budgets and transactions. It does not hold money, move funds, or connect to your bank balance. Budget surplus is estimated from your budget and entries; missing expenses can overstate it. Savings jar balances and wish progress reflect the deposits and withdrawals you record, not verified bank savings. Choose from multiple currencies, with new ledgers defaulting to your device region. Each ledger uses one currency; no currency conversion. Choose an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time purchase for lifetime access. All active plans include the same Premium benefits, and existing lifetime access remains valid. Prices and billing periods are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically. To cancel, use your Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
