BroFri plans the route for your truck's height, weight and length in Denmark, and takes it around the bridges and tunnels you cannot pass under. The route is checked against 16,497 recorded restrictions from the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet) and 3,500 from OpenStreetMap: clearances, weight limits, axle loads, width, length, truck bans and low-emission zones. If the route is blocked, BroFri finds a new one around it and shows the blocked route dashed beside it, so you can see what the detour costs. HOW IT WORKS • Enter your vehicle: height, weight, combination type and Euro emission standard • Enter the trip: start, destination and as many stops as you need • BroFri checks the whole route and takes it around blockages • Open the route in Google Maps with the detour pinned as waypoints MADE FOR DRIVERS • Clearances from Vejdirektoratet, already reduced by the 20 cm the sign shows. The app adds no second margin unless you choose one • Rigid trucks, tractor units, articulated, truck + trailer, modular road trains and special transport • The low-emission zones of Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg, by your Euro standard • Warnings 2 km, 1 km and 500 m before a low passage on the route, even with the screen off • Free map: see bridges and weight limits around you when you park somewhere new • Source, method and year on every warning • Report a low bridge from the app, with a photo of the sign • Danish and English, dark and light mode HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS • The sign on the road is what counts. Under Danish traffic law the driver is always responsible for making sure a passage can be made safely. BroFri is an aid. • Data can be out of date or missing, especially on municipal roads. The absence of a warning does not mean the road is clear. • Apple Maps can only receive a start and a destination, not the route. Use Google Maps to navigate the checked route. • Route planning and address search need an internet connection. The bridge database is on the phone. • Covers Danish roads only. ONE PAYMENT No account, no subscription, no ads. Your position for the warnings stays on the phone. Continued use of location services in the background can decrease battery life.
