What's newin version 1.1.0
Drawtone 1.1 is the update you asked for.
Draw more than one picture. A piece can now be several pages, played one after another. Add a page below the paper, drag to reorder, and build a whole tune out of bars you can see.
Play it inside GarageBand, AUM or Logic. Drawtone is now an Audio Unit: your drawings load as an instrument and follow the host's tempo, so a line you drew on the sofa can sit in a session next to real instruments.
Hear the makams properly. Rast, Uşşak, Hüseynî, Hicaz, Nihavend, Hüzzam, Sabâ, Karcığar and Nikriz now play in their real 53-comma intervals, not piano approximations. Alongside them: Arabic maqams in quarter tones, Japanese koto tunings and a major scale in pure ratios. Twenty-five scales in all, and every one keeps whatever you draw in tune.
Never lose a drawing. Everything you draw is kept as you draw it, with no save button. Find it under Get inspired → Yours, name it by tapping the title, and come back to it any day.
Share it as a video. Export your drawing as it plays, with sound, straight to Photos, ready for a message or a story.
MIDI export now carries microtonal pitch as pitch bend, so your other apps hear exactly what you heard.
If Drawtone has earned a moment of yours, a rating helps a small team more than you'd think.
