Soltide 1.3 • Daylight dates: the earliest sunset, the latest sunrise and the stretch after the shortest day where you live, each as a card to share. No logging needed. • Share today's daylight from Today or Season. • Invite someone out: send today's best light to a friend in one tap. • Your first winter: the year card now starts from your first day in the light. • Clearer notes on your other good times today. • Accessibility: better VoiceOver support, screens that adapt to larger text, and stronger contrast on Today.
Morning sunlight, done right: daylight for your eyes soon after you wake — never a tan, never staring at the sun. Soltide is a daylight coach for the dark half of the year. It tells you the best time to get outside today, for where you are and the weather you’ll actually get. ONE CLEAR ANSWER • Open the app and see your next best light, such as 9:15–9:45, with how long to stay out and roughly how bright it will be. • Worked out from the sun’s path at your location and the hourly forecast, so a grey morning or a sunny spell changes the plan. • Pick a focus — steadier sleep, energy, brighter days or a daily habit — and the plan follows it: from the first light after you wake to the brightest hour of the day. MADE FOR WINTER • Daylight for the next 14 days, how fast the days are shrinking or growing, and a countdown to the shortest day. • A countdown to the next clock change. • When light is scarce, Soltide says so plainly and points you to the brightest part of the day. A HABIT THAT FORGIVES GREY DAYS • Start a session when you head out; a Live Activity keeps time on the Lock Screen. • A daily light goal, a 7-day chart and a streak of days with at least 10 minutes of daylight. • A reminder before your best light, plus a last call before sunset on days you haven’t reached your goal. • Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen, and Siri and Shortcuts to start or end a session. SHARE YOUR LIGHT • A card with your month in light, your streaks and, in December, your Year in Light — as a picture or a short video, for Instagram Stories, Messages and more. • Put today’s minutes on a photo of your sky. Choose what shows: time, UV, sky, place. • Free for everyone. Made on your iPhone; only what you choose to share leaves it. ON YOUR WRIST The Apple Watch app shows your next best light and your day, and starts or ends a session with one tap. Complications keep the next window on your watch face. SOLTIDE PRO Yearly (first week free for new subscribers), or once for good (Lifetime): • Sun-break alerts: a nudge when a sunny spell is forecast in your free time. • Your whole day: other good times at lunch or after work, a sun path you can explore with a finger, and the sky hour by hour. Tap an hour to correct the sky if it looks different outside. Plus your day’s light plan in one timeline. • Plans around your day: Soltide reads busy times from Calendar on your iPhone and finds the light between meetings. • Travel and clock changes: a day-by-day light plan for new time zones, and a gentle 3-day shift before the clocks change. • Insights: your light over 30 and 90 days, next to your sleep from Apple Health. • Automatic tracking: Apple Watch Time in Daylight fills in your log, and the daylight you log is saved to Apple Health. • Plan up to 14 days ahead (free plans today and tomorrow). Today’s best light, UV and safety information, widgets, the Apple Watch app and the session timer are always free. HONEST ABOUT THE SUN • No tanning features, ever. When UV reaches 3, every suggestion says so and shows when to seek shade and cover up — and the warning follows the clouds and rain in the forecast. • Never look directly at the sun. • In winter, far from the equator, the sun is often too low for your skin to make much vitamin D. Soltide says so and suggests asking a doctor or pharmacist, not staying out longer. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no ads, no tracking. • Your location is rounded to about 1 km on your iPhone, and only an approximate area is used for the weather. • Apple Health data stays on your devices. Weather data from Apple Weather. Soltide offers general wellness information, not medical advice. If you have health concerns, talk to a doctor.
