Find a usable restroom in New York City, fast. Loo York is not a map to browse. The first screen asks one question: how bad is it? • Chill — a few good options, with tags and amenities • Kinda urgent — the nearest ones that are likely open • Code Brown — one restroom, ready to navigate. Now. Every place shows the walking time and when someone last confirmed they got in. Hours come from the schedule, and a recent report can override it. Places whose hours we can't vouch for are clearly marked. Filter for open now, free, accessible, or baby changing. Tap Go to walk there in Apple Maps or Google Maps. Want to look around? The Map tab shows every restroom we know, color-coded: public restrooms, the city's new Throne restrooms, stores and malls you can walk into, and cafés and shops that are for customers only. Tap a color to filter. Faster than opening the app: ask Siri, press the Action button, or tap the Control Center button, and Code Brown is already on screen. The restroom list lives on your phone, so it still works when the subway doesn't have signal. Know a restroom we missed? Add it from where you're standing. Went and couldn't get in? Say so, and the next person knows. You can report a problem or block a contributor. Kept up to date. Loo York refreshes its restrooms regularly from the city's public data and OpenStreetMap. Park restrooms the Parks Department lists as closed for repairs are taken off the map, and park restrooms that shut for winter are hidden in the cold months. New data reaches your phone the next time you open the app, with no update needed. Loo York covers the five boroughs. No account, no ads, no tracking. Your location is used only while the app is open, to find the nearest restroom. It is never tracked in the background.
