New in 2.3: stars that care how a room is arranged, Star Rooms and pets. • Three stars now takes a well-arranged room: a focal point, balance, scale, color and layers. The score card has a new Design row and says what the next star needs. • A star meter climbs while you place, so you can see the room getting better. • Star Rooms: a new chapter of twenty tricky rooms that open with the stars you've earned. • Pets: adopt and name dogs, cats, birds, fish and reptiles. There are twenty-four breeds, and twelve are free. • The 3D views now match your plan piece for piece, with better sofas, lamps, chairs and wall pieces. The walk-in view starts clear of the furniture. • Head to head: play a room against a rival or your own best score. • Budgets have more room in them, coins go further, and there's a small gift for checking in each day. • A Nudge button moves a piece half a cell at a time, and the catalog has a new Media tab with speakers. • Weekly rooms for Thanksgiving and Christmas, a Home for the Holidays pack, and new music. You can mute the music in Settings. • Ciana has curly hair now.
Every room you design gets one to three stars. Two gets you to the next client. Three takes a bit of taste. You run a small interior design studio. A client shows up with an empty room, a budget and a short list of things they won't live without. You place the furniture and pick the floor and paint while a star meter climbs at the top of the screen. Move the sofa and the meter moves with it. When you hand the room over, you watch it go from empty to finished, the client tells you what they think, and the stars land. The score card shows where each point came from. Did you cover the brief? Stay on budget? Does the layout work, and is the room well arranged? Does it look lived in? Miss a star and the card says what the next one needs, and it can show you a three-star idea for that room. Your stars open more of the game. Star Rooms are twenty tricky rooms for clients you already know, and they open as your total climbs. Your designer rank climbs with it. Along the way, the client messages you. Sometimes it's a question about which way the sofa should face. Sometimes the budget gets cut. How you answer matters as much as what you place, and a badly read client will say so in the review. WHAT'S IN IT • Ten chapters: sixty single rooms, twenty-two return visits from old clients, twenty Star Rooms, then fourteen houses with fifty-seven rooms between them. • Head to head: play a room against a rival or your own best score. • Bathrooms, dining rooms, hallways, nurseries and utility rooms, each with its own rules. • Knock down a wall, push a room out, or add a skylight or French doors. • Thirty-five clients, each with a personality that changes how they score you. • Nine designers to run the studio, Ciana among them. • Over 1,000 pieces of furniture in sixteen styles (four in style packs), plus floors, paint, wallpaper and tiles. • Optional bonus goals on every brief, each worth a few coins. • 3D views. Lift the roof off a room or a whole house and turn it around, or stand in the doorway and look. • A new client every day, a themed room every week with a piece of furniture to earn, and a streak that forgives a day off. • Sixteen style collections to fill with free pieces, each with a wallpaper of its own. • Optional studio leaderboards. • No clock in the career. Challenge mode is there for anyone who wants a timer. • Creative Studio: no client, no budget, the whole catalog and a gallery for your favorites. PETS Adopt a pet and name it: twenty-four breeds of dogs, cats, birds, fish and reptiles. Twelve are free, and twelve come in three packs you can buy or unlock with coins. A pet moves into your studio and can come along to the rooms you design. MAKE YOUR OWN DESIGNER Build a designer from scratch: twenty-eight hairstyles in fifteen colors, beards, a hijab, a turban or a bucket hat, glasses, earrings and outfits. Try every option first. Saving your designer is a one-time purchase or 2,000 studio coins earned by playing. HOME STUDIO Design whole houses of your own in Creative Studio: five house plans and two big rooms. Try all of it for free. Saving them needs Home Studio, a one-time purchase or 6,000 studio coins earned by playing. DESIGNER ATELIERS Nine design houses invented for DIGS, with their own prints, pieces and wallpapers, for gems you also earn by playing, or all nine as one purchase. Each piece has a free twin with the same size, price and score. NO ADS, NO ENERGY Every room can be finished and three-starred without paying. No ads, no energy bars, no waiting. Every room you finish pays studio coins to spend on style packs, pets, a holiday pack, color collections, renovations and the occasional boost. One-time purchases come back with Restore Purchases. Coins, gems and what they buy stay on your device and its backup. DIGS started with Ciana, who rearranges furniture for fun, and was built by a very small team. If a client made you laugh or a rule made you yell at your phone, tell us. We read everything.
