Tap a waypoint on the map to see its distance and direction, with Navigate here. Back to start now shows a dashed blue line, a start pin, and a live distance banner. The hike card now shows on first load. Hike recording keeps your full route after the app is closed.
Offline compass, GPS waypoints and field instruments from your phone.
Turn your phone into a practical field instrument kit. Redline Survival brings a magnetic compass, GPS waypoints, local trail recording and phone sensor readings together in a clear interface with light and tactical dark appearances. Designed for Galaxy S22 and newer and comparable Android phones, it works without an account or a data connection. KEEP YOUR BEARINGS Read your magnetic heading, view GPS coordinates and accuracy, save a starting point, and see the straight-line bearing to a saved waypoint. A bundled worldwide overview map shows major geographic features, saved waypoints and the trail recorded while the app is open. Pan, zoom, find a major city offline, enter coordinates or save a map view. READ YOUR SURROUNDINGS Inspect acceleration, linear acceleration, gravity, gyroscope, magnetic field, attitude, pressure, light, proximity, and supported temperature and humidity sensors. Use the microphone for a relative sound-level reading. A hardware inventory shows sensors exposed by Android, and optional activity permission enables the step counter. OFFLINE FIRST-AID REFERENCE Read illustrated, searchable guidance for wounds, suspected broken bones, snake bites, burns, heat and cold illness, severe allergies, adult CPR and choking. Pictures, captions and zoom controls work offline. Source links, age limits and regional restrictions are shown with each card. The snakebite card follows U.S. CDC guidance; advice differs in other regions. The phone-dialer shortcut opens your dialer so you can enter the local emergency number. It does not place calls automatically. PACK PRACTICAL TOOLS Use a relative barometric altimeter, pitch/roll level, steady flashlight, static SOS display and speaker test. Keep trip notes, check your departure kit and export your local field log as CSV. KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR DATA No ads, accounts or analytics. Sensor processing happens on your phone. Microphone audio is never saved. Location, microphone, flashlight and step-counter permissions are requested when needed. You choose when to share coordinates or export a file. KNOW THE LIMITS Features depend on your phone's hardware and permissions. Most Galaxy S phones do not have ambient temperature or humidity sensors. Trail recording keeps going with the screen off, free for everyone. The generalized world overview does not include detailed roads, hiking paths or elevation contours. Pro, a one-time unlock with no subscription, adds offline topo map packs you download by state, plus guided navigation, GPX export, named trips and advanced waypoint tools. Waypoint bearings are not verified routes. Sound readings are uncalibrated dBFS, not a safety measurement. First-aid information is reference material and does not replace trained care or your emergency dispatcher. The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose injuries. The SOS display does not contact emergency services. Carry appropriate backup navigation, power and communication equipment. Android 12 or later is required. Redline Survival is an independent app and is not affiliated with Samsung.
