The Wine Maker's Companion helps home winemakers, cider makers and mead makers record what they made, follow fermentation and decide what to do next. Start with a recipe or your own plan, record specific-gravity readings, then look back at the full story of each batch. START A BATCH Name your wine, choose a batch size, record your starting and target gravity, and add notes. Browse curated recipes or use an existing recipe as your starting point. FOLLOW FERMENTATION Log hydrometer readings with dates, optional temperatures and notes. See your gravity history and estimated ABV together, with practical next-action recommendations as your batch develops. Add tasting notes to remember how each wine changes over time. PLAN YOUR NEXT STEP Companion Pro includes calculators for sulphite additions, back sweetening, acid adjustment and priming sugar. Enter your own measurements to see an estimated quantity before you act; the calculator does not change your batch records or perform the adjustment for you. Measure carefully and check your work before making additions. Need a second opinion? Ask Companion Guidance a question about your batch. Pro guidance can draw on its recipe, readings, dates and notes, and you can revisit saved answers later. You always decide what to do with the suggestions. FINISH AND REMEMBER Mark a batch bottled, manage bottle counts and drink-by windows in the Pro cellar, then make a printable label.
