What's newin version 2.6.0
More reliable prayer times: Bosnia now shows the exact vaktija of the Islamic Community, Malaysia each JAKIM zone's own times, and a new Diyanet (Europe) method follows the Turkish mosques in Europe. Unknown countries no longer inherit a guessed national method. Remote cities use their own time zone. Improved Hijri/DST handling, clearer Friday Dhuhr wording, Qibla sensor warnings. Location settings are excluded from backups.

Prayer times you can trust, in an app that stays out of your way. Lightweight Prayer Times is tiny, fast, free and private: no ads, no account, no analytics, no tracking. ACCURATE, AND PROVEN • Calculation engine verified against NASA/JPL astronomical data and cross-checked against independent prayer-time software: Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha to the minute. • 23 calculation methods: Muslim World League, ISNA, Egyptian General Authority, Umm Al-Qura (with 120-minute Isha in Ramadan), Karachi, Gulf, Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai, Diyanet (Turkey), UOIF (France), Russia, Moonsighting Committee, MUIS (Singapore), JAKIM (Malaysia), Kemenag (Indonesia), Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Portugal, Jordan, Tehran and Jafari (Shia). • Hanafi or Shafi Asr. • Built for Europe and the far north: sensible Fajr and Isha in the short summer nights (angle-based, one-seventh or middle of the night) instead of impossible times. • Auto mode: in Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, the Gulf, the Maghreb and more, it picks your country's own method, so you see the same minutes as the official timetable (Diyanet and Kemenag benchmarked). EVERYTHING YOU NEED, NOTHING YOU DON'T • The prayer whose time is running and how long is left, then the next one; check it off once prayed (only on your device). • Home-screen widgets that adapt to their size (compact, the day's prayers, the full day), plus a discreet one: a single quiet line on your wallpaper. • Optional countdown in the status bar: on Android 16 a small chip beside the clock shows the time to the next prayer. • Notifications only if you want them: choose the prayers, a reminder 5 to 30 minutes before, sound or silent, and a "Prayed" button. • Jumu'ah on Fridays, suhoor and iftar in Ramadan. • A size slider for the whole app. • A calm, minimal Qibla compass: one ring, the Kaaba on it, the degrees left to turn, and a soft gold glow when you face it. • Hijri date (Umm Al-Qura) that changes at Maghrib, with a manual correction. • Set your location with GPS or by typing a city. Elsewhere, pick the method and Asr school yourself in one tap. • A calm theme that follows the sky through the day, with hand-drawn line icons and a woven Islamic star pattern. • Available in English, Nederlands, Français, Türkçe and العربية. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your location is used only on your device to calculate times. No account, no ads, no analytics, no network access. Free, forever. By Vecture. Questions: info@vecture.be
