Stargazing app: find stars, planets & constellations. Explore 3D with Pro.
Find your place in the night sky with SkyLens, a stargazing app, sky map and star finder for astronomy. Identify stars, planets and constellations, explore the Solar System, and learn about the Moon, Mars and the Sun.
Find your night sky
Point your phone at the sky, or pan and zoom the map to explore manually. Search for celestial objects by name, follow constellation paths and illustrations, and open object information and observing details. SkyLens includes a bundled star catalog and all 88 constellations. Sky positions are calculated from your location and time; the camera can provide an optional background.
Explore worlds in 3D with SkyLens Pro
Rotate and zoom interactive models of planets and moons. Study Saturn's rings, explore the Moon and Mars, and discover more worlds across the Solar System. Object information provides facts, context and source credits alongside your exploration.
Discover spacecraft and missions
With SkyLens Pro, explore spacecraft and surface vehicles in 3D, including the Hubble Space Telescope and Curiosity Mars rover. Read mission profiles and learn about the machines used to explore space. Models depict reference configurations, not live mission telemetry.
Look inside the Sun and planets
SkyLens Pro includes Composition views for supported objects. Explore labeled illustrations, layer explanations and atmospheric facts. See the Sun's convection zone, radiative zone and fusion core, with expandable explanations and scientific sources. Composition diagrams are educational illustrations and are not to scale.
Plan your stargazing
Browse Tonight suggestions for different observing equipment. Check object directions, rise and set information, Moon phases and eclipse planning. Explore the sky at another date and time. Some planning and time travel features have free limits; Pro provides extended access.
Track satellites and plan passes
Use SkyLens as a satellite tracker to find the ISS and other supported Earth-orbiting satellites. View calculated positions and pass predictions from downloaded orbital data, with cached data available offline. Set optional pass alerts for selected targets. Visibility depends on sunlight, your location and observing conditions; predictions depend on current orbital data.
Keep exploring
Save favorite objects, view deep-sky images, use red night vision and share supported object views. Bundled catalogs and models are available offline. Fresh satellite data and online services need an internet connection.
Free access and SkyLens Pro
The sky map, search, object information and deep-sky images are available with free access. SkyLens contains ads. An optional SkyLens Pro subscription adds interactive 3D views, supported Composition details, complete Tonight planning, extended time travel, expanded satellite features and ad-free use.
Sky direction guidance depends on your device sensors, calibration, location and time. Observing suggestions do not guarantee visibility. SkyLens includes source credits and explains the limits of its models and calculations.
