Guidance of the Sound Mind by Abu al-Saud — Subtleties of Rhetoric and Meaning in a Well-Made Expression
Guidance of the Sound Mind to the Merits of the Noble Book by Imam Abu al-Sa'ud Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-'Imadi al-Hanafi (d. 982 AH) — A concise and precise commentary combining the subtleties of al-Zamakhshari's al-Kashshaf and al-Baydawi's Anwar al-Tanzil, focusing on meanings, grammar, variant readings, rhetorical nuances, and the secrets of the Quran's structure. This application is a dedicated digital version of a single book: no multiple commentary lists or quoted passages, but rather a reading and study experience specifically designed for this book: - The complete text of all chapters of the Holy Quran, with verse locations highlighted within the text in Quranic script. - The verses are grouped as interpreted by Abu al-Sa'ud: when he interprets a section of several verses, they are displayed together with a clear heading (verses 21–24) instead of repeating the text for each verse. - Page references from the printed edition: Page markers from the source are displayed as a subtle reference within the text without disrupting the reading experience. - Advanced Arabic search that is unaffected by diacritics, both within the text and in Quranic verses, with highlighted excerpts and links that open directly to the relevant passage. - References, highlights, and notes linked to verses or passages, with a comprehensive library screen. - Reading resume: The app automatically returns to your last position. - Daily verse interpretation in a fixed daily order. - Complete reading control: Text and verse font size, line spacing, multiple Arabic fonts, Uthmani or simple verse display, and light, dark, and Sepia styles. - Works completely offline—the book is in your pocket, everywhere.
