Nərd the way it is played in Azerbaijan, with Abi at the table. PLAY ONLINE Tap Play online and get matched with a real player. Every turn has a 60-second clock, the server rolls the dice, and if the app closes mid-game, open it again to carry on. PLAY ABI Abi plays at three levels. Easy is relaxed and good for learning, Medium plays carefully, and Hard looks ahead at your replies. He has a few things to say when he hits you, and when you hit him. AZERBAIJANI RULES Short nərd without the doubling cube: hit single checkers onto the bar, bear off when all fifteen are home, and play both dice whenever you can. A win is oyun (1 point), or mars (2 points) when your opponent has not borne off a single checker. BEAUTIFUL BOARDS Choose a carved walnut board with a deer medallion, black lacquer with gold, or pale carved wood with the crescent and star. The box opens when the game starts and closes when it ends. REAL SOUNDS Dice shaken and thrown on wood, checkers clacking, the lid of the box, and calm tar music in the background.
