Kids Time is a simple parental control and screen-time app for managing how long a child can use an Android phone or tablet. It is designed for parents who want clear daily screen-time limits without complicated menus, accounts, syncing, or dozens of confusing options. SETTING UP KIDS TIME IS SIMPLE - Set a parent PIN - Choose a daily screen-time limit - Enable protection - Done Kids Time automatically counts usage time while the device screen is on. You do not need to open or start the app manually every time the device is used. ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE API USE Kids Time uses the Android AccessibilityService API solely to provide its core parental-control functionality. After a parent enables the service in Android settings, Kids Time receives window-state changes and the package name of the currently active app. This information is needed to enforce the configured daily limit, display the blocking screen after the limit is reached, and recognize the Phone and SMS apps so they can remain available after the limit. The AccessibilityService does not retrieve window or screen content, does not perform gestures, and does not read messages, typed text, passwords, or other personal data. Information used by the AccessibilityService is processed locally on the device and is not transmitted or shared. DAILY SCREEN-TIME LIMIT Choose how much time your child can use the phone or tablet each day. Kids Time monitors daily usage time automatically. When the daily limit is reached, the Kids Time blocking screen appears. A parent can enter the PIN and add extra time when needed. PARENT PIN PROTECTION The main parent PIN protects access to the settings. An emergency PIN is also available in case the main PIN is forgotten. After three incorrect PIN attempts, Kids Time can trigger an alarm to alert the parent.
