Atlaspress brings a stalled expedition print shop back to life.
Atlaspress brings a stalled expedition print shop back to life. Eight damaged field maps are waiting to be reconstructed by hand. Touch anywhere on a translucent printing plate, drag its three distinct holes toward the matching brass registration pins, and read the dotted guides as the plate moves. Colored fringe shows the direction and size of the remaining error. Only after all three rings close does the Press lever rise. Pull it to send the roller across the sheet and turn a transparent prediction into permanent coastlines, rivers, contours, roads, and place names. The route grows visibly on the paper after every accepted impression. The first map only asks the player to drag the single blue plate, align three holes and pins, and press the raised lever. From the second map onward, the player drags a circular corner handle to rotate the plate; it snaps with an audio cue near the correct angle. Flip, mask, and paper fit remain automatic, and the press presents the next legal layer. There is no adjustment button, layer menu, angle slider, flip or mask toggle, stretch control, or proof control to manage. A successful pin closes with a double ring, a completed layer becomes solid ink, and a finished region receives a legend stamp. Failure keeps specific evidence on the affected pin, fringe, wet ink, mask window, or covered symbol. Reduced motion preserves the same readable static evidence and final seal. The launch release contains exactly eight handcrafted maps. Blue Coast introduces translation-only registration. River Turn adds deliberate rotation. High Country asks you to plan an ink dependency order. Foldout Passage connects a route across three hinged pages. Mirror Sound uses a fixed vertical axis for front-and-back printing. Hidden Caravan protects existing names with removable mask windows. Monsoon Sheet corrects nonuniform paper stretch with a limited gauge move. Grand Expedition combines proof limits, region locks, masks, mirror logic, stretch correction, and a final binding continuity check. Renaming a place, swapping colors, adding plates, changing tolerances, or randomizing pin positions is not presented as new content. Accurate printing, correct order, and a clean first alignment earn Proof Marks for the current map. The first two maps stay uninterrupted. Starting on map three, Ink Choice offers fast-dry ink, a soft pad, a calibration guide, or a protective mask between regions; one tap applies the selected tradeoff and immediately returns to the press. Completing a map awards a permanent Expedition Seal. Atlas Archive keeps the player's actual printed layers, legend cards, largest offset, angular error, correction count, and True Register record. The sense of achievement comes from making a route appear, binding a finished sheet, hanging it in Map Room, and improving stable skill measurements rather than watching an automatic solve or a generic reward popup. Rewarded advertising is optional and can only restore a practice sheet, redraw the current three tools, or double remaining Proof Marks within a limited daily allowance. An advertisement cannot align a plate, perform a press, award an Expedition Seal, change True Register, or complete a map. Interstitials are only attempted when returning to Map Room from a non-gameplay collection screen and share a cooldown. The game is two-dimensional because accurate planar registration, transparent overlays, and stable Canvas coordinates are the puzzle itself. Atlaspress is an offline single-player printing puzzle; it does not include real GIS data, unbounded map generation, free drawing, online collaboration, AI auto-registration, or offline publishing-grade rendering.
