CouicQuizz: the quiz for kids to play and learn historical famous figures
Who is it? Leonardo da Vinci, Marie Curie, Zeus, Cleopatra, Mozart… With CouicQuizz, kids aged 6 to 12 go and meet more than 380 famous people, real or legendary, and learn while having fun. Hi, I'm Couic, the little mouse! I read you the question out loud, I give you the clues one by one, and it's up to you to guess who is hiding behind the portrait. HOW IT WORKS • Listen to the question and read the clues: era, job, birthplace, achievements… • Pick the right character from the choices. • Need a hand? Ask for one more clue: you can, but your points are cut in half. • Chain correct answers to build your streak and earn bonus points. Bonus questions double the points! • After each answer, Couic tells a fun fact to help you get to know the character. 9 THEMES FOR EVERY TASTE Myths and legends · French history · Inventions · Arts: music, painting and books · Science · Exploration · Sports · Heroes of peace · Famous women. Or all themes mixed together! 4 LEVELS, FROM 6 TO 12 • Explorer (ages 6 to 8): the full-color portrait helps you out. • Adventurer (ages 8 to 10) • Scholar (ages 10 to 12) • Genius: for champions! You also choose the time to answer (10, 20 or 30 seconds, or no timer) and the length of the game (10, 25 or 50 questions). COLLECT THE CARDS Every character you find wins you their card. Complete your collection, theme after theme, and tap a card to read or listen to its profile. DISCOVER MODE To learn without playing: browse all the profiles (ID card, why they're famous, great achievements, "Did you know?", people from the same era), listen to them read aloud, or start the slideshow that scrolls by itself. MADE FOR KIDS AND THEIR PARENTS • No ads, no in-app purchases, no account to create. • Works completely offline: no data is sent anywhere, the app doesn't even have permission to access the internet. • A parents' area lets you erase the scores and the collection. • Scores stay on the device, with a first name and an avatar of your choice: no need to give your real name. • Gentle, colorful drawn portraits, cheerful sounds, big buttons that are easy to tap. • Works on phones and tablets, in portrait and landscape, with a dark mode for the evening. • TalkBack compatible: every element is described for visually impaired children. • Available in English and French: the app follows your device's language. Note: for Couic to read the questions aloud, the English voice of Android's text-to-speech must be installed on the device. The app guides you if it is missing, and the game can still be played by reading. CouicQuizz is a playful learning game: a moment to share with family or in class to get to know the people who made history.
