About this app
Lock size, blank & strike plan
Punch Mark Die is an offline-first die-card for jewelry stampers, metal-tag makers, bench jewelers, and small metalsmithing shops. Before the first hammer blow, lock real punch size, blank metal, and strike plan on one glanceable card—so you hit clean letters instead of guessing at the bench. Cold start opens the fullscreen active die-card: large punch-face readout, locked size in mm, alloy and blank thickness, strike count and force note, backing block choice, and the character string queued for this run. No onboarding carousel. Edit the active job, swap punches from your owned set, log each strike, and archive finished runs entirely on-device. KEY FEATURES Fullscreen die-card See punch size (mm), face character, alloy, blank thickness, backing block, and strike-force note locked together in one premium card you can read at a glance between blows. Owned punch-set inventory Track your size ladders (for example 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 6 mm) and spot missing sizes before a job starts—so you never commit to a string you cannot finish. Metal blank picker Choose alloy (sterling, brass, copper, aluminum, mild steel), gauge/thickness, anneal state, and scrap-versus-new notes that stay with the active die. Character-string layout planner Plan multi-letter runs with spacing, left or center alignment, and a reverse-order warning for mirror stamps so the finished mark reads correctly. Strike log per job Tap to add each strike, note force feel (light / firm / heavy), depth result, double-strike flag, and keep-or-discard decision. Build a clear record of what actually worked on that blank. Backing and anvil card Steel block, wood scrap, pitch bowl, or nylon—persisted with the active die so setup is repeatable job after job. Job archive Finished stamp runs store date, final string, punch sizes used, and a free-text bench note. Everything stays local. Seed reference charts Starter punch sizes, soft-metal depth tips, and three sample jobs (pet tag, cuff initial, maker mark) help you move from idea to locked plan quickly. Quick duplicate Copy the last die-card into a new job and change only size or alloy when the next blank is almost the same. Local preferences Default alloy, preferred size unit display, and last-used backing via on-device storage. Fully offline—no account required for core stamping workflow. Built for real bench work: lock the plan once, strike with confidence, and keep every successful run on your device.
