One-tap GPS track logger. Saves GPX files to your phone. No ads, fully offline.
GPS Logger is a simple, one-button app that records your GPS track to a standard .gpx file — perfect for logging a ride, hike or drive while you film with your phone's camera. Press START, put the phone away, press STOP. That's it. ■ HOW IT WORKS - One fix per second: latitude, longitude, elevation and time (UTC) - Keeps recording with the screen locked or other apps open - Files are saved to Documents/GpsLogger/, named by start time (e.g. 2026-08-14_15-21-05.gpx) - Copy them off with the Files app or a USB cable — no root or special tools needed ■ FEATURES - MARK button — drop a named waypoint (M1, M2, …) at your current position, also available from the notification without unlocking the phone - Quick Settings tile — start and stop recording from the notification shade without opening the app - Accuracy filter — inaccurate fixes (worse than 20 m) are skipped, so your track doesn't wander at the start - Live readout — big, easy-to-read display of time, points, accuracy and more, designed to be read at arm's length in sunlight - Crash-safe — every point is saved as it's recorded; if the phone dies or the app is killed, the track is recovered automatically next time ■ GREAT FOR - Syncing GPS data with action-cam or phone video - Cycling, hiking, running and driving logs - Importing tracks into mapping, video editing or analysis tools that support GPX ■ PRIVACY FIRST - No internet permission — your location never leaves your phone - No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking - Location is used only while you are recording ■ REQUIREMENTS - Android 10 or newer - A device with GPS - Location set to "Precise" ("While using the app" is enough) GPS Logger does one thing and does it well. No maps, no social features, no clutter — just a clean GPX file when you need it.
