About this app
Swiped a notification away? It's still here. Search it, and let AI sum up a day.
Aldang is a notification history app for Android. It saves the notifications you get, so one you swiped away is still here to search: a tracking number, a booking code or a message from three days ago. Nothing is deleted unless you delete it. With Aldang Pro, AI summarizes a day of your notifications in one short report. No ads, no sign-up. What works without a subscription? The inbox (by time or by app), calendar, search, stats, collection check and export, with no cap on how many notifications are kept. Aldang Pro adds the AI briefing. Without it, you can look at a sample briefing. Will I see notifications I swiped away? Yes. For each notification, Aldang saves the app, title, text, sub text, chat name and the time it arrived. If the sending app later removes or edits the notification, what Aldang already saved stays the same. Can it show notifications from before I installed it? No. Only notifications that arrive after you install Aldang and turn on notification access are saved. What if saving stops? If you allow notifications, Aldang posts one when it notices collection has stopped, and the collection check shows each gap and how to reconnect. Notifications that arrived during a gap can't be brought back. Is anything not saved? Ongoing notifications (music, navigation, downloads), grouped summary notifications and notifications you can't dismiss. If an app hides message previews, Aldang keeps only what arrived. From Android 15, the system hides the content of sensitive notifications such as verification codes. A muted group chat sends nothing, so there is nothing to save. A chat set to silent is still saved, and so are notifications during Do Not Disturb. Can I choose which apps are saved? Yes, and whether newly installed apps are added automatically. Apps Aldang recognises as finance or health apps start switched off, and you can turn them on. Is there a home screen widget? Yes. It shows today's notifications, one per line. Tap one to open it in Aldang. What is the AI briefing? (Aldang Pro) Pick a day and tap Generate briefing. You get a short report plus two lists, Check now and Good to know, and each item shows the notifications it came from. If you already made a briefing that day, choose Since last briefing or Whole day. One briefing covers up to 512 notifications. You can leave out any app, and make up to 3 briefings a day. Where is my data kept? In the app's storage on your phone. Search, sorting and stats run on the phone too. In Settings › Data you can delete notifications older than 7, 30 or 90 days, or erase everything. App data is left out of Google's automatic cloud backup, and you can export your history as a JSON file (without pictures). Does anything leave my phone? Notification content leaves your phone only for the AI briefing, and only when you tap Generate briefing, after a one-time consent screen. Aldang then sends excerpts of that day's notifications (time, app, sender, title and text, up to 800 bytes each, no pictures) through the Aldang server to an AI that doesn't keep your data. The Aldang server keeps neither the notifications nor the briefing. Besides that, only a subscription check and usage statistics through Firebase, which never include notification content or app names. You can turn statistics off in Settings, and in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing is sent until you agree. No ad SDKs, no data sales. Why does it need notification access? Aldang can't read or save anything without Android's notification access. Optional: permission to post notifications, and an exemption from battery optimization. Aldang doesn't ask for contacts, location, storage or access to all your installed apps. Which languages? English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Italian. Other device languages get English. Briefings use the app's language.
