ChatCode is an AI code editor for Android that lets you write, run, understand, and improve code directly from your phone. It combines a mobile code editor, runtime, AI coding assistant, and Local API Server in one development workspace. AI Coding Assistant Connect a supported AI provider through an API or CLI and work with AI alongside your code. Ask for code explanations, bug fixes, refactoring, structure improvements, or suggested changes. Review AI-generated changes before applying them so you stay in control of your files. Mobile Code Editor Write and edit code with syntax highlighting, line numbers, file and folder management, and tools designed for a touch screen. Open your projects and make quick changes even when you are away from your computer. Run Code on Android Run Python and JavaScript directly inside ChatCode and view the output immediately. HTML files can also be previewed from your project. Use Your AI in Other Apps Enable ChatCode's Local API Server to let another app on the same Android device use the AI engine selected in ChatCode. Connect using the local server address and a simple 6-digit pairing code. This makes ChatCode useful for Android development, prototypes, and experiments that need access to an AI engine. Local Version History Save your work locally and review previous changes whenever you need them. Keep track of edits while experimenting with your code. Your Code, Your Settings API keys and project data are stored on your device.
