Chemistry Lab teaches introductory-through-AP chemistry by making you build the molecule and run the reaction yourself, not just read about it. Made for high school and AP Chemistry students, and for adults who want to learn chemistry and finally picture why water is bent.
How it works: read a short, illustrated lesson, answer a quiz that explains why the right option is right, then open the lab to build molecules in 3D or mix two reagents. Every answer feeds a spaced review queue that brings back what you are starting to forget.
WHAT YOU LEARN — 4 worlds, 42 lessons, 51 quizzes
• Atoms & Bonds — the atom, the periodic table, valence electrons, ionic and covalent bonding, polarity, molecular shapes (VSEPR)
• Reactions — synthesis, decomposition, displacement, combustion, acids and bases, the pH scale, redox, precipitates
• Balancing & Stoichiometry — conservation of mass, balancing equations, the mole, molar mass, mole ratios, limiting reagent, percent yield, empirical formulas
• AP Chemistry Deep — organic chemistry, functional groups, equilibrium and Le Chatelier's principle, thermochemistry, reaction rates, titration, electrochemistry, an AP-style problem set
3D MOLECULE BUILDER + VSEPR PREDICTIONS
Tap atoms onto the workbench and watch the molecule snap into its real 3D geometry: water bends to about 104.5°, methane spreads into a tetrahedron. Before the reveal, predict the VSEPR shape, the bond angle and whether the molecule is polar, then see the answer with the lone-pair effect explained. Save builds to your bench notebook or share a molecule card with formula, shape, bond angle and molar mass.
REACTION MIXER
Pick two reagents and press Run. Results come from 43 hand-checked chemical reactions, each balanced atom for atom — nothing is invented. If a pair isn't in the database, the app says so. A hazard note and an "Explain why" button put each result in plain language.
STOICHIOMETRY BENCH
Enter grams or moles and get the limiting reagent, the excess, the theoretical yield and, once you add an actual mass, the percent yield.
PRACTICE DRILLS & PUZZLES
• Balance-the-equation trainer built from the mixer's reactions
• Periodic trends and electron configuration drills
• Synthesis puzzles: reach a target compound in as few steps as you can
REVIEW & MASTERY MAP
Cards come back on a spaced schedule. A Daily Problem brings one fresh question a day, a streak counts the days you clear your queue, and a mastery map shows which concepts (bonding, VSEPR, stoichiometry, redox) are solid or shaky. Set a test date and your daily target focuses on your weakest concepts. A Weekly Lab Report sums up your week.

SAFETY
The reaction database is a teaching tool, not a lab procedure. A safety note appears on first launch, in the Lab and in Settings.
YOUR DATA
No account needed. Review cards, streak and notes stay on your device. Daily usage counters and notebook saves are kept on our server; signing in syncs lesson progress. "Explain why" and AI hints send the reaction or lab goal to an AI service only after you agree.
