Learn digital logic: wire AND, OR, XOR gates in 3D and check the truth tables.
Logic Gates Lab teaches digital logic and Boolean algebra by making you build it. Every lesson ends on a 3D circuit board where you wire real AND, OR, NOT, XOR and NAND gates, press Run, and watch the truth table prove — row by row — whether your circuit actually works. Built for CS and EE students, self-taught programmers who can write code but can't yet say what a half adder is, and anyone who wants to know what's really inside a chip.
THE CORE LOOP
Open a lesson, read a couple of short blocks, then tap into the lab. Drag a gate onto the board, wire its inputs, press Run — the Truth Table view flips up beside the expected columns, with any mismatched row glowing red. Fix a wire, run it again, and once every row matches, the lesson clears itself. No AI grading and no server round-trip: your circuit is checked against real Boolean logic, on the device, even in airplane mode.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• 34 lessons across 4 worlds — from bits and truth tables through the seven basic gates and De Morgan's Laws, to half and full adders, multiplexers, decoders, comparators, Boolean algebra and Karnaugh maps, and on into sequential logic: SR latches, D flip-flops, registers, ripple counters and clocking
• 12 hands-on wiring labs on a 3D breadboard you rotate, pinch-zoom and tap to toggle switches — you build the circuit, you don't just read about it
• 8 build projects, from a half adder up to a working 1-bit ALU, each graded against an exact target truth table computed from the same logic the app teaches
• Daily Circuit — a fresh, date-seeded puzzle every day: wire a circuit that matches the target table inside a gate budget. Free forever, fully offline, with a streak that tracks your best run and an optional local reminder you can turn on in Settings
• A free-play sandbox for wiring anything you want, with named saved circuits and a draft that survives a force-quit
• Exam Mode — a bank of 150+ questions on gate logic, truth tables, Boolean identities and binary conversion, sampled into a fresh timed set every run
• An AI tutor that explains, in plain language, why your specific circuit produces the table it does
• Light and dark themes with a system option, and the full app in 10 languages
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Every goal table — in every lesson, project and exam question — is computed from the same small set of Boolean functions the simulator uses to grade your wiring, so a stated answer can never drift out of sync with what the engine checks. There's no "it depends" in digital logic: your circuit either produces the exact table or it doesn't.
WHAT'S FREE
All nine lessons of World 1 are free — every one of the seven basic gates plus De Morgan's Laws, all six of that world's hands-on labs included — so you can learn the fundamentals end to end without paying anything. The sandbox is unlimited, with room to save 3 circuits. The Half Adder project is free. And the Daily Circuit puzzle is free, every single day.
WHAT PRO ADDS
Pro unlocks Worlds 2 through 4 — 25 more lessons on adders, multiplexers, decoders, comparators, Boolean algebra, Karnaugh maps, and the sequential-logic world of latches, flip-flops, registers and counters — plus the remaining 7 build projects, up to the 1-bit ALU. Pro also removes the banner ad, unlocks unlimited Exam Mode runs, gives you the AI circuit tutor, and lets you save unlimited sandbox circuits.
Logic Gates Lab Pro is offered as a Monthly subscription ($4.99) or an Annual subscription ($29.99). Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription auto-renews for the same period at the same price until you turn it off.
