Roommate texting game: one flat, five people, twelve months. Every reply counts.
The Lease is a roommate texting game and interactive story played entirely in your phone's messages, where your choices decide who still trusts you. You just signed a twelve-month lease. Sam is warm, chaotic and has never once paid rent on the day. Dee is precise, quiet and laminates the chore chart. The landlord texts in one-sentence messages that end with a full stop. Sam's partner does not live here but has a key. The neighbour downstairs hears everything and bakes before she complains. All five have your number. The whole game is your phone. HOW IT PLAYS - Read the messages as they land, month by month - Pick every reply. No typing, no timers, no wrong-button deaths - Every person remembers what you said. Side with one and it costs you with the rest - Let the drama climb and THE GROUP CHAT leaks it to everyone WHAT IS IN IT - Twelve chapters, one per month of the lease - Nearly a thousand messages, all written for this game - Twelve endings, depending on who still trusts you when the lease is up - Sixty moments to collect: the texts you will want to screenshot - Read Her Mind: watch a short ad to see what a reply will do before you send it - English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese NO STRINGS - Free, supported by ads - No account, no sign-in, nothing to buy - Plays offline once installed A comedy about living with people. The joke is always the situation, never the person. Made by Crystl Labs. Also by us: Per My Last Email and Debut, two more text stories on the same engine.
