Tip Like a Local: Calculator & guide for 73 countries. Split bills, no sign-up.
Never guess what to tip again. Tip Smart is a fast, no-nonsense tip calculator and tipping guide for travellers, diners and anyone who has ever stared at a bill wondering what is normal here. Enter the bill, pick the service, and get the right tip — with the local custom explained in plain language. ★ WHY TIP SMART IS DIFFERENT Most tip calculators just multiply by 18%. Tip Smart knows that tipping is a local custom, not a formula. It carries real tipping guidance for 73 countries across 14 different service types — and it will tell you when tipping is not expected at all, when a service charge is already on the bill, or when a service simply is not offered where you are. ★ FEATURES • Tip calculator with a big, fast calculator keypad • Tipping guide for 73 countries, written in plain language • 14 service categories — restaurant, bar, cafe, taxi, rideshare, hotel porter, housekeeping, valet, tour guide, spa, hairdresser, food delivery, airport porter and cruise staff • Quality-of-service slider from Poor to Exceptional, so great service earns more • Bill splitter with a clear per-person breakdown • Share the split to any chat app with one tap • Home-currency equivalent, so you know what the tip really costs you • Automatic country detection by GPS, or choose your country manually • Round-up option for a clean total • Service-charge and "no tipping expected" warnings • Flashlight for reading a bill in a dark restaurant • Dark mode and a larger-text option ★ HOW IT WORKS 1. Tip Smart suggests your country from your location, or you pick it from the list 2. Choose the type of service you received 3. Type the bill total on the keypad 4. Slide to rate the service from Poor to Exceptional 5. See the tip, the total, and the reason behind the local norm ★ SPLITTING THE BILL Dining with a group? Turn on Split, set the number of people, and Tip Smart shows exactly what each person owes — base, tip and total per head. Tap Share Split to copy a tidy summary to your clipboard and paste it straight into your group chat. ★ COUNTRIES COVERED Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Senegal, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkiye, UAE, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela and Vietnam. ★ PRIVACY Tip Smart has no account and no sign-up. You can decline location and pick your country by hand at any time. Whether you are working out how much to tip in a New York restaurant, whether to tip a taxi in Tokyo, or how gratuity works in a Paris cafe, Tip Smart gives you a straight answer in seconds.
