Play chess online in rated rapid and blitz games, train your tactics with more than 4,800 chess puzzles from real games, and learn chess step by step in 120 interactive lessons. Or play against the computer at five levels, or with two players on one phone.
PLAY CHESS ONLINE WITH AN ELO RATING
Pick rapid or blitz and matchmaking finds an opponent near your rating in seconds. Each mode keeps its own Elo, so a bad night of blitz never touches your rapid rating. Chat, offer a draw or resign, and if your connection drops you can rejoin the game. The leaderboard ranks everyone in rapid and blitz.
CHESS PUZZLES FROM REAL GAMES
Each of the 4,800+ tactics puzzles is a real position where somebody went wrong, rated from about 650 to over 2,800 and sorted into easy, medium and hard. Filter by theme: fork, pin, skewer, discovered attack, double check, deflection, sacrifice, zugzwang, back-rank mate, smothered mate, promotion, endgame and more.
You play every chess puzzle out. Any legal move is allowed: follow the winning line and the opponent answers as in the real game, leave it and the engine defends. A puzzle is solved when you give checkmate or win the material, by your own route. Progress is saved to your account.
DAILY PUZZLE AND STREAKS
A new chess puzzle every day, always free. Build a streak, get an optional evening reminder, and save a missed day with a short video.
