Stop standing over a full sheet with a tape measure, working out where the first cut goes. Enter your parts, tap Optimize, and SawNest lays every cut out on the sheet in front of you. A few seconds later you have a cut sheet ready for the shop. Don't throw away the leftovers Add the pieces you have left as offcuts. On your next project, SawNest pulls matching offcuts before it opens a new sheet. Offcuts only leave your inventory when you confirm a layout, and they come straight back if you undo it. Built for the table saw and panel saw Every layout uses straight, edge-to-edge (guillotine) cuts you can actually make. Blade kerf is subtracted from every cut. Lock rotation on parts where grain direction matters. Pick a stock size from presets like 48x96, 1220x2440, 910x1820 or 1525x1525, or enter your own. Set how many sheets you have or let SawNest use as many as the job needs. A cut sheet you can read Tap any part on the cut sheet to see where it sits. Yield, sheet count and leftover area are shown alongside. Export to PDF, print it, and pin it above the bench. Inches or millimeters Work in inches with 1/16" fractions or in millimeters. Switching the display unit in Settings never changes the dimensions you already entered. No account, no internet No sign-in and no connection needed. Your projects and offcut inventory are stored on this device, and you can export and import a backup file whenever you like. A home screen widget shows how many offcuts you have on hand and your latest yield. Layouts are a planning tool for before you cut. Always double-check dimensions in the shop.
