Some features require Duo Pro (annual subscription or one-time lifetime purchase). ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE API — HOW DUO USES IT Duo Status Bar uses Android's AccessibilityService API. Duo is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities. It uses this API only for the features below, and only after you agree to an in-app disclosure and turn the service on yourself: - Detect which app is open — to hide Duo automatically in full-screen apps, videos and games, and to apply your per-app rules. - Capture a small, low-resolution area of the screen right behind Duo — for Live Icons, so Duo's color stays readable on light and dark content. It is processed in memory and discarded immediately. - Show Duo on the lock screen and above the status bar. - Take a screenshot — only if you assign that action to a Duo gesture. Duo does not read what you type, passwords, messages or notification content, does not change your settings, and does not collect, store or share any of this data. Nothing leaves your device. The service is optional and can be turned off anytime in Settings → Accessibility → Duo Status Bar. Duo Status Bar doesn't just change how your status bar looks. It changes what it can do.
