Photos can reveal more than the picture itself. A JPEG may include precise GPS coordinates, capture time, phone or camera model, editing software, camera settings, and creator details. ExifShield shows those hidden details before you share, then creates a privacy-clean copy entirely on your Android device. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Choose up to 12 JPEG photos with Android's system document picker • Inspect GPS, capture time, device, software, camera, and creator fields • Remove EXIF, XMP, IPTC, and JPEG comment containers • Keep the original files unchanged • Save verified clean copies to Pictures/ExifShield • Share cleaned copies with Android's standard share sheet BUILT FOR PRIVATE, OFFLINE USE • No photo uploads • No account • No ads • No analytics or tracking • No developer backend • No Internet permission • No broad photo-library or storage permission PIXELS STAY INTACT ExifShield removes privacy-bearing JPEG metadata containers without decoding or recompressing the compressed image scan. When needed, it keeps only a minimal orientation value so a rotated photo still displays correctly. Each output is opened and checked again before the app marks it verified. HONEST FORMAT SUPPORT Version 1 supports JPEG files only, up to 60 MB each. It does not claim to clean PNG, HEIC, RAW, video, or another format. A photo that contains no recognized private metadata may already appear clean. Clean copies are stored in Pictures/ExifShield. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete copies already saved there.
