DPIP (Disaster Prevention Information Platform) is a disaster prevention application developed by a local Taiwanese team. It integrates data from the Central Weather Bureau, the National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Prevention and Relief, the Japan Meteorological Agency, and TREM-Net, consolidating earthquake early warnings, real-time seismic intensity, weather, typhoon alerts, and various disaster warnings into a single app, helping you quickly access disaster information in your vicinity. ※ The information provided by DPIP is for disaster prevention reference only. Actual disaster information and evacuation instructions should be based on announcements from government authorities. ※ Join the public beta test to obtain the latest beta version. ※ For questions or suggestions, please contact us through the social media links within the app. When an earthquake occurs, DPIP provides real-time strong earthquake warnings, estimated local seismic intensity, and a countdown to the arrival of tremors; it also displays real-time seismic intensity from TREM-Net observation stations. You can also view earthquake reports issued by the Central Weather Bureau to understand the epicenter, magnitude, depth, and distribution of various seismic intensities. In addition to earthquake information, DPIP also integrates real-time weather, rainfall trends, radar echoes, precipitation for the next hour, lightning, wind direction and speed, satellite cloud imagery, and typhoon paths. Depending on the distance from the epicenter, it may provide several seconds to tens of seconds of response time; if you are close to the epicenter, you may not receive the alert before the shaking begins.
